Windows download
The public installer is not available yet. This page will provide the official download and release details when it is ready.
Public downloads and trial access are not open. Email support with setup or release questions.
Before you begin
The release targets Windows 11 on Intel/AMD x64 PCs. Use an internet connection for sign-in, Google services and ranking checks. Keep your PC on and connected while a scan runs.
Python and a private Chromium browser are bundled, so you do not install those separately. WebView2 setup may need internet access. The official release details will be listed alongside the public installer when it is available.
Install Rank Lantern
When the download is available, get the Windows installer from this page. Run it, follow the setup instructions and open Rank Lantern.
If Windows shows a publisher or security warning, check the release source and publisher before continuing. Do not disable your security protections to install the app.
Sign in to your account
Use the Account screen to sign in with Google. Your Rank Lantern account holds access and usage allowances. It can differ from the Google account you use to manage your business.
Installing or signing in does not start a trial or grant paid access. You can finish setup without a plan.
Connect your business
Choose Connect business account and authorize a Google account that can manage your business. Select the business you want to work with. One active connected Google Business Profile is included per account.
Use sync actions to refresh profile details, reviews, posts or photos. You review changes and confirm publishing yourself.
Choose Start free trial
After selecting your business in the app, choose “Start free trial.” Eligible accounts receive seven days of access automatically, with no card required. Installing, signing in or selecting a business alone does not start the trial.
The one-time trial allowance is 250 ranking readings, 10 completed AI drafts, 300 Google request credits and three new posts or gallery photos combined. The trial ends automatically and does not convert to paid access.
Public trial access will open with the public installer. Public downloads and paid checkout are not available yet.
Run your first ranking check
Select your business, keywords and geographic grid, then start a ranking check. Keep the PC on while the browser checks each point. If a browser challenge pauses the scan, resolve it before continuing.
Review the saved results, compare compatible scans and create a branded HTML report. Results show what was observed at that place and time; they do not guarantee future rankings.
Back up reports before moving PCs
Reports, ranking history, local drafts and original photos stay on each PC. They do not automatically sync between computers. Signing in on another PC does not transfer them.
Use Create backup to save your local work as a ZIP. Keep it private because backups are not encrypted. On the destination PC, sign in to the same account and use Restore. Keep the active data folder on a local drive.
Restoring a backup does not restore sign-in credentials, Google authorization or paid access. Sign in and reconnect your business separately. Normal uninstall retains local files, but does not cancel renewal or delete your cloud account.
Purchasing and managing access
When purchases open, sign into the Windows app and choose “Subscribe.” A secure, short-lived link will open the website and connect the browser session to your existing Rank Lantern account. You will not need a separate website account or another website sign-in.
Checkout happens on the website. Once payment is confirmed, access is added to the Rank Lantern account you used to open checkout. A manually entered checkout email does not decide which account receives access. The app will refresh its subscription status. A payment screenshot or browser success message alone is not proof of activation.
The Windows app will display access and usage information. Choose “Manage subscription” to securely open the website, view your next renewal date and use “Cancel renewal.” The confirmation will show when your already-paid access ends.
Paid checkout and live subscription management are not available yet. The separate Razorpay test billing preview does not grant real paid access. Email [email protected] for setup or access questions.
